Functional Application Manager

Hoogwegt is looking for a Functional Application Manager to join our Business Solutions team.  Within Hoogwegt, IT is an enabler to the business.  The Business Solutions team sits in the heart of the company, we act as a Business Partner and are responsible for Application Support services and Solutions with a Global Scope. 

The Functional Application Manager works closely with our business, linking together other IT teams and external providers to deliver value. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the health of our application landscape. You steer on Master Data, linking this together with the business and the Business Intelligence team.

What will you do as an Functional Application Manager?

  • Assess and challenge proposed solutions and requests from the business
  • Sit down with the business to understand their needs and translate these into functional requirements.
  • Contribute to and/or lead the solution design with IT specialists across multiple applications as they touch JD Edwards (e.g integration platform, salesforce, DMS)
  • Structural problem solving, recommend solutions and follow through to implementation
  • Support and maintain the application landscape

The ideal profile

As our ideal candidate you recognize yourself in the following:

  • Good communication skills, are customer-oriented and are not afraid to share your ideas and vision.
  • You are a quick learner, have good analytical skills and like to make our business future proof with new innovative IT solutions.
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure and rapidly changing environment
  • With your hands on approach and enterprising character you push for results. If these are disappointing, you take the initiative to intervene and together with colleagues, you are able to turn the tide.
  • You have a understanding of one or more of the following business processes: (commodity) Trade, Production, Supply Chain, Finance. 
  • You have a Bachelor degree in the area of Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Economics or similar
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems, Oracle JD Edwards is preferred
