Trader (German speaker)

Arnhem Dairy Liquids Apply before: 2026-06-30

In liquid dairy trading, volatility is the only constant. When a heat wave hits Germany or a supermarket promotion shifts demand overnight, you don’t just watch the market—you move with it. You’ll be at the heart of the action, balancing supply and demand in real-time across Europe.

This is a role for those who thrive on the 'play' of the game. It’s about navigating the shifts as they happen, managing a high-volume network, and executing under pressure. The impact is immediate and the results are transparent—by the end of every week, you’ll see exactly how your moves kept the liquid moving.

What your week looks like

  • Buying and selling liquid dairy products across multiple regions, with room to grow into position management and risk analysis as you develop
  • Calling and meeting buyers and suppliers regularly — relationships are everything in this market
  • Keeping a sharp eye on what's happening across the supply chain: weather, production shifts, retailer behaviour, cross-border dynamics
  • Working closely with a tight team of traders, sharing market intel and coordinating end-to-end
  • Travelling roughly 20% of your time to visit clients across Europe

Who you are

You might be just finishing your studies, or you might have a year or two of commercial experience behind you. Either way, what stands out about you is how you work.

You like being busy. You can hold multiple things in your head at the same time and still make clear decisions. You're curious — genuinely interested in how markets work, what drives prices, why something that happens in a German field ends up affecting a deal in Warsaw. You pick up the phone, you follow up, you stay on top of things without being told to.

You bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a commercial or economics-related field
  • Fluency in English and German is a must
  • Commercial instinct and strong communication skills — trading experience is a plus, but not a requirement
  • The ability to build genuine, lasting relationships with people across different cultures

The Team

You'll join a close team of traders with a mix of experience levels, reporting to the Commercial Director. It's an environment where you learn by doing, where colleagues are direct and accessible, and where you'll build real expertise over time.
