The Role & What You'll Do

In high-spec protein trading, no two days look the same. You’ll be in the middle of commercial action, managing high-value portfolios, navigating protein-based price tiers and futures, and closing back-to-back deals under pressure.

What your week looks like

• Buying and selling Whey Protein Concentrates, Whey Protein Isolates, Casein, and Caseinates across international markets.
• Navigating complex pricing grids influenced by protein percentages, futures markets, specialized product grades, and regional VAT differences.
• Executing back-to-back trades and sales for whey derivatives and specialty products, securing margins while coordinating tightly with logistics.
• Calling and meeting buyers, manufacturers, suppliers, and sports nutrition brands regularly to build strong commercial relationships.
• Capitalizing on emerging opportunities in sports nutrition, active nutrition, and functional food sectors.
• Collaborating with internal technical experts and global sister companies to share market intelligence and execute seamless trades.
• Travelling roughly one week per month to visit clients, suppliers, and target markets across your region.

Who You Are

You are commercially sharp, highly numerical, and excited by the fast pace of closing deals in an international market. You understand (or are eager to master) how protein percentages, futures markets, and regional tax/VAT structures influence commercial strategy. You handle multiple moving parts with ease, adapt to diverse business cultures, and take calculated commercial risks to expand your business portfolio.

You bring

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant commercial, economic, or agribusiness field.
• Up to 3 years of commercial work experience, or a recent graduate with strong commercial drive.
• Fluency in English and Dutch, with additional international languages considered a strong advantage.
• Based in Arnhem, or at a comfortable commuting distance.
• Analytical ability to work with complex pricing structures based on protein content %, futures, and varying VAT levels.
• A natural ability to build genuine, long-term commercial relationships across diverse cultures.
